My favorite season is upon us. Freshly fallen leaves tumble across the city streets. Bulky sweaters have made their way back into my wardrobe. You can see the snow as it dusts the mountaintops. As summer turns to fall, I’ve also been focused on making some personal changes. In pursuit of a simpler life, last Friday marked my last day as a full-time marketing professional. A weekend trip was in order.

On Saturday morning Dan and I packed our bags, rallied the loyal wiener dog and hopped in the Jetta. The destination, Vail. As we wove our way through the passes, the colors grew in intensity and I started to feel lighter. Aside from almost losing Rubin to a raging waterfall, the next 24 hours were pure bliss. Here’s a small glimpse of our high elevation adventure taken at Booth Falls.
