It Was December 3rd

As I sit in the comfort of my kitchen, waiting for Dan to emerge for dinner I can hear the wind howling outside. I can feel the cold trying to make its way through our window panes. There are small white flakes tossing around in the air. All sure signs that winter, as we know is in the UP, is finally on its way.

As we strolled the shoreline of Huron Bay this past Sunday, the sand was fully exposed. The water, clear as glass. And, the sun, glistening from atop the beach grass. From appearances alone, you would never have guessed that it was December 3rd.

While I look forward to the snow and the stillness of winter, for now I’ll take the warmer temps. Those days when snagging the perfect shot could result a minor case of the screaming barfies? Well, I know they’re coming. And, I’ll wait.
