When August rolled around Dan and I glanced at the calendar to realize that summer was quickly coming to a close. Time to pack in all things summery. In between wedding travels, bike races, and my weekend work schedule we found an entire 24-hours to escape to the Keweenaw Peninsula.
So, we ran with it.
We gathered the pups, hooked up the Apache, and headed towards Lake Fanny Hooe. There were plenty of mishaps including one camper leak and a very stinky dachshund, but the rest of our adventure made up for it.
There were bike rides.

Some QT near the water.

Plenty of caffeinated beverages.

A few “urban” discoveries.

And, then of course the antique stores.

All in just 24 hours. I hope you’re all enjoying the end of your summer. Get out there, explore.
